FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What states do NOT recognize out of state temporary permits?
A: Vermont, Arizona, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Hawaii.
Q: What do we do if we miss a class?
A: Classes are numbered 1-12 and run in a two-week cycle. Normally the class you miss will be offered again 2-weeks later but could be at a different time. Always be sure to check schedules online. Student’s may make up a class at any location. To see the times and dates classes are being offered, just click on the "LOCATIONS & SCHEDULES" tab at the top of the page. Classroom schedules can change without notice. Please feel free to call our office to confirm class times and dates when attending classes at a different location.
Q: What type of payment can we use?
A: We accept Check, Money Order, MasterCard, or Visa. No cash payments will be accepted.
Q: When do I pay?
A: The student must pay a minimum of $150 of their tuition prior to beginning classes. Discounts will be given to those who pay in full prior to the first day of class. All other discounts must be mentioned to our office staff and applied prior to arrival at the location of the first class. If a discount has been given with condition (e.g.-friend), the condition must be met, or the discount will be reversed. Payments can be made prior to the student’s first training session online, through the Student Portal, over the phone, or mailed to: Myers Driving School 7845 Wales Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720 Checks mailed must be post marked on or prior to the student's first day of class to retain discount.
Q: When does the in-car portion take place?
A: Once all twenty-four hours of classroom have been completed, the written test has been passed (75%+), payment is complete, and the student has supplied us with their valid temporary permit information, they will be released into our driving pool. Wait times do vary throughout the year. We do our best to quote behind-the-wheel wait times as accurately as possible prior to students enrolling in our program. If you have not been contacted within the time frame quoted, please contact our office.
Q: How many people are in the car?
A: The behind-the-wheel training portion of the program is completed one-on-one with the instructor. Occasionally there may be another student in the car if the instructor is picking up a student while taking another one home. All instructors have passed a BCI & FBI background check prior to instructing students.
Q: How are the in-car training sessions scheduled?
A: The behind-the-wheel training is normally completed in four 2-hour sessions. Pick up and drop off locations for all behind-the-wheel training will be at the discretion of the instructor. While we try to be accommodating, the Student needs to make time to be available throughout the day/week to complete their training in a timely manner.
